I'm a huge fan of these silhouette illustrations, which happen to correspond with our first project in GDS273.  The detail work is amazing and the endless relationship between the foregrounds and backgrounds keeps the eyes entranced. These figures are very descriptive even though they lack characteristics beyond their outlines.  I'm beginning to understand what a recognizable feature posture is.  Usually, I don't really think about people's posture unless it extreme in some way.  Recently, though, I began taking lessons in the Alexander technique, which has forced me to be more conscious of my own posture.  I'm hoping this will go hand in hand with more attention paid to the ways in which others carry themselves.  In my mind, this set of images could be seen as representative of the idea that people reflect others in their lives, as well as themselves.
