An editor at Esquire requested that I put bras on the women, but Simmons's tongue (pictured here in actual anatomic proportion) remains pendulous and uncensored." This illustration is both ridiculous and charming, as I see it. I am immediately reminded of caricature depictions because Simmons' head and tongue are so large. I like the way this artist uses line. It is utilized in a repetitive and shape defining manner. I enjoy the way the lines interact with the color and are visible through it. Line is used more heavily on Gene Simmons than on the women beside him, representing excessive hair and wrinkles.
