Swoosh

Yucel - Workbook 32
The perspective, distortion, and line work really make this illustration quite effective. They have extended the type of line even into the Nike swoosh logo. This says something about how widespread and recognized Nike is, but it also has contributed to making a more unified illustration. I love how most details are left out- the shoe is not very descriptive other than that it is Nike.  The same thing goes for the figure- we can't tell who it is, but the perspective suggests that the figure is going up for a dunk.  The colors are also great.  Purple and yellow are complimentary, and therefore, the purple accented swoosh ads flare and draws necessary attention.
